Growing up with a love for the outdoors while spending time in northern Michigan, I later found solace in Virginia’s rolling hills and vast woodlands, a passion that deepened through years of hiking, hunting, exploring, and building a rustic off-grid cabin with my sons. That lifelong connection to the outdoors, paired with 20 years of service as an Army intelligence specialist in challenging environments like Iraq and Afghanistan, shaped my disciplined, problem-solving approach to life and work. In the Army, I learned to quickly analyze complex situations and deliver clear solutions or options, skills I now apply to real estate transactions. After retiring from military and federal service, I channeled my commitment to serving others and growing interest in Virginia’s diverse landscapes into founding Cold Spring Realty LLC. Whether helping clients find a rural retreat, an urban home, or a suburban homestead, my journey drives my mission: to guide you with trust, precision, and a deep appreciation for the places you call home.

My passion for real estate was sparked by my wife’s established career in the industry, which opened my eyes to the potential of helping others find their perfect property. Her work inspired me to dive into the world of rural homes and land, where my love for the outdoors found a natural fit. Planning a future home on my own undeveloped land in Virginia taught me the intricacies of rural properties, from navigating zoning and utilities to assessing land for diverse uses like farming, recreation, or homebuilding. These experiences, combined with the analytical skills honed during my military career, fuel my enthusiasm for guiding clients to their dream properties. I chose real estate because I love the challenge of matching unique properties to individual goals, especially in rural settings where my expertise shines. It’s a career I’m passionate about, and I’m committed to serving clients with dedication and joy for as long as I’m able.
